TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Febrie Adriansyah, who served as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes from 2022 to 2026, has been named a suspect in a corruption case. The handling of the investigation became increasingly complicated before police ultimately transferred the case to the Attorney General’s Office (AGO).
The Febrie case was discussed in a series of meetings involving President Prabowo Subianto, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Anang Supriatna, Legal Information Center Chief at the AGO, said the institution is committed to handling the corruption case objectively. “The case is being handled in accordance with the rules,” Anang said in text messages to Tempo journalists Lani Diana and Egi Adyatama in separate exchanges on July 16-17, 2026.
