TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Light rain has moistened parts of the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area in the early morning today. The rain is expected to stop as the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather will turn cloudy throughout today.
The weather forecast is quoted from BMKG's website this Monday morning, 15 December 2025. It is predicted that Jakarta will be cloudy throughout the day, and the weather will be the same across the regions, including the Thousand Islands.
The same weather forecast is given by BMKG for the surrounding areas of Jakarta, including Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, Depok, and South Tangerang, all of which are expected to be cloudy today.
According to BMKG, Jakarta is not expected to experience indirect impacts from either the Tropical Cyclone Bakung or cyclone seed 93S. The former is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain in Bengkulu and Lampung today.
Meanwhile, the latter is predicted to cause moderate to heavy rainfall in Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, and NTB (Western Nusa Tenggara). This prediction is based on the early Monday monitoring update and is valid for the next 24 hours.
