TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Citilink airline has officially launched its new daily international route connecting Jakarta and Bangkok, commencing operations on Friday, December 12, 2025. The route connects Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang with Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport.
The Jakarta-Bangkok flights will utilize an Airbus A320 aircraft. According to Citilink President Director Darsito Hendroseputro, the route's inauguration is a strategic step to strengthen regional connectivity and meet the growing demand for travel between Indonesia and Thailand.
"Bangkok is one of the most dynamic cities in Southeast Asia, serving as both a key tourist destination and a business center," Darsito stated in a written release on Monday, December 15, 2025.
The flight schedule shows the Jakarta-Bangkok service (Flight QG 512) departing Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 12:30 p.m. local time and arriving in Bangkok at 4:10 p.m. local time. The return flight from Bangkok (Flight QG 513) departs at 5:10 p.m.local time, arriving back in Jakarta at 8:30 p.m. local time.
Darsito added that Citilink's presence in Bangkok is expected to foster new opportunities for tourism development, business, and cultural exchange between the two countries. This expansion aligns with Citilink's long-term strategy to grow its international network and offer more competitive services to its customers.
The launch of this new route also serves as preparation for the anticipated surge in passenger mobility during the year-end holiday season. To accommodate this demand, Citilink is providing an additional 99,900 seats across its network throughout the peak season, offering travelers increased flexibility in planning their trips.
On the operational front, Darsito highlighted Citilink's commitment to punctuality. This dedication is reflected in the airline’s status as the second most punctual airline in Southeast Asia, according to OAG, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 84.63 percent in November 2025.
