TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has evacuated the body of someone believed to be a female foreign national victim of the flood in Tibubeneng, Badung Regency, Denpasar, Bali. The Head of the Basarnas Bali Office, I Nyoman Sidakarya, stated that the evacuation process was carried out in the drainage ditch where the victim was trapped on Krisnantara Street, Tibubeneng Village.

Nyoman has not been able to confirm the identity of the female foreign national. The authorities found the body, and it had no identification. However, the body has been taken to the Prof Ngoerah Hospital for further handling.

Nyoman explained that the SAR team only received information about the incident at 08.05 AM local time and immediately dispatched personnel from the office located in Jimbaran. "We assigned five personnel to carry out the evacuation, as reported that the victim was trapped below and stuck to a pipe," he said as quoted from Antara on Sunday, 14 December 2025.

According to Nyoman, the water level during the flood evacuation efforts was around waist-high for an adult. "The rain caused the water level to rise, so the joint SAR team, together with residents, made efforts to evacuate the victim as quickly as possible," he said.

When found, the victim was still wearing black long pants without a shirt. At 10.30 AM, the victim's body was taken to the Prof Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar using a Badung District PMI ambulance.

Nyoman stated that in addition to his team, the evacuation process of the female foreign national was assisted by the Badung Resort Police, North Kuta Police, Bali BPBD, Badung BPBD, Badung PMI, Tibubeneg Village Babin Kamtimas, and the local community.

The Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Data and Information Center, Abdul Muhari, stated that they are still checking the areas affected by the flood in Bali. He also cannot confirm whether the victim who died as a result of the flood is a foreign national or not. "We are currently rechecking the affected areas. We will provide feedback later," said Abdul Muhari when confirmed on Sunday afternoon, 14 December 2025.
