TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian contingent won 31 gold medals and held the top three positions at the 2025 SEA Games as of Saturday, December 13, 2025. Sports Minister Erick Thohir stated that President Prabowo Subianto urged the athletes to give their all in the competition until the final day.
"Stay focused, disciplined, and build mental strength and confidence, because this is the key to victory," Erick said in an official release on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Prabowo, Erick said, was proud of the athletes' efforts. Prabowo assessed that they had demonstrated their best efforts in carrying out their duties.
"Because participating in the SEA Games is not just about competing, but also about defending the country so that Indonesia Raya (Indonesia Raya) can be heard before other nations," said Erick Thohir.
In support of the Indonesian contingent, Erick conveyed his congratulations to all the athletes who competed in the SEA Games. Prabowo thanked the medal winners.
"Prabowo thanked the medal winners for their enthusiasm in achieving success," he said.
President Prabowo also stated that the government recognizes the hard work of the gold medalists by preparing a bonus worth Rp1 billion. This bonus is a form of respect for the nation, which recognizes the services of heroes in the field of sport.
