TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - AS Roma and Inter Milan shared the points after a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, with goals coming from Manu Kone and Lautaro Martinez.
Roma remained at the top of the standings with 13 points from five matches, while Inter sat right behind them with the same points tally.
Roma took the lead just six minutes into the match. Kone capitalized on a scramble inside the penalty area after receiving the ball from Nahuel Molina, firing a low shot that beat Josep Martinez.
Roma nearly doubled their lead in the 20th minute. Paulo Dybala received the ball at the edge of the box and took a shot that went just wide of the right post.
Inter then had a golden opportunity through Yann Bisseck. In the 26th minute, Bisseck found himself one-on-one with Mile Svilar, but the Roma goalkeeper pulled off a brilliant save.
Four minutes later, Inter had another chance to equalize. Alessandro Bastoni unleashed a shot that struck the left post of the Roma goal.
Roma extended their lead in the 37th minute. Kone got his name on the scoresheet again with a finish from inside the box. The goal was checked by VAR before being awarded, giving Roma a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Inter responded after the second half began. In the 46th minute, Lautaro Martinez narrowed the deficit after receiving a pass from Marcus Thuram and firing into the bottom right corner of Svilar's goal.
Thuram came close to equalizing in the 59th minute. The French forward broke into the penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot, but the ball went just wide of the left post.
Roma had another chance through Donyell Malen in the 68th minute. His shot, following a corner kick, deflected off Josep Martinez's head before being secured by the Inter goalkeeper.
Inter finally equalized in the 79th minute. Lautaro once again came to the Nerazzurri's rescue, displaying composure inside the penalty area before firing a shot into the right side of the Roma goal.
