TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia currently sits in third place in the SEA Games 2025 medal standings. This shift occurred after the third day of competition, Thursday, December 11, 2025, where Indonesian athletes added a haul of eight gold, 11 silver, and eight bronze medals.
Indonesia's interim total now stands at 13 gold, 20 silver, and 13 bronze, a total acquisition of 46 medals. Vietnam, which was in fourth place the previous day, has surged into second place with 14 gold, eight silver, and 27 bronze.
The host country, Thailand, remains firmly in the top position of the interim standings with 41 gold, 24 silver, and 14 bronze.
Key Highlights from the Third Day
On Thursday, swimming delivered gold medals for Indonesia once again. SEA Games debutant Jason Donovan Yusuf clinched gold in the Men's 50-meter Backstroke, while Masriani Wolf achieved a golden hat-trick in the SEA Games by winning the Women's 50-meter Backstroke.
From other arenas, the Women's 3x3 Basketball national team made history, securing Indonesia's inaugural gold medal in the event after failing to reach the final in the three previous editions.
Additional gold medals came from the Extreme-Water Ski & Wake Board disciplines in the Mixed Slalom Waterski Team event. Furthermore, the pair of Stevani Maysche Ibo and Subhi claimed gold in the Mixed Double Kayak 200 meters event.
In athletics, pole vault athlete Diva Renatta Jayadi soared to win the gold medal, while her compatriot Maria Andriani Melabessy took home the bronze.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) contributed a gold medal from Dwi Ani Retno Wulan in the Women's Traditional -54kg category. However, this medal is not counted in the official standings as the sport was held as an exhibition event.
