TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto continued his official trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Prabowo departed for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, after completing a visit to Amman, Jordan.
According to a statement from the Presidential Secretariat, the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his entourage landed at Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport on Wednesday at around 6:00 p.m. local time. Prabowo's arrival was greeted by a guard of honor standing on the side of the runway.
At the bottom of the aircraft's steps, President Prabowo was greeted by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem Al-Daheri, and the Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Brigadier General Tony Aris Setiawan.
From the Presidential Airport, President Prabowo and his entourage headed directly to their hotel where they would spend the night in Abu Dhabi. During this working visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Prior to the UAE, Prabowo had already visited several countries over the past ten days. This working trip began when Prabowo departed for the United States from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta last Monday, February 16, 2026.
In Washington, Prabowo attended the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council. Furthermore, the General Chair of the Gerindra Party also signed a trade agreement during a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump.
From America, Prabowo continued his journey to London, England. Prabowo witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Danantara Investment Management Agency and the British semiconductor company, Arm Limited, in the British capital.
Prabowo then met with Jordan's King Abdullah II after his visit to England. Prabowo, a longtime friend of Abdullah II, met with the Sultan in Amman, the Jordanian capital.
In his meeting with Abdullah II, Prabowo pushed for peace in Palestine. According to Prabowo, a two-state solution with an independent Palestine is the only path to sustainable peace.
