TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Cikarang Barat Police Sub-precinct uncovered the illegal sale of schedule G drugs or hard drugs disguised as a cellphone shop to deceive authorities.
"The raid was carried out in two locations. From these operations, we confiscated thousands of prohibited drugs such as tramadol, hexymer, and trihexyphenidyl. Several individuals suspected of involvement in the distribution network were also apprehended," said Cikarang Barat Police Chief AKP Tri Baskoro Bintang Wijaya in Cikarang, on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
The uncovering of the first case began with the patrol officers' suspicion when they found the partially open door of a mobile phone counter in Kampung Kamurang, Cikedokan Village, Cikarang Barat District.
Upon inspection, the officers found a young man identified as MW, 21 years old, managing the store. Inside his bag, hundreds of unauthorized hard drugs were discovered. "MW, who hails from Aceh Utara, was immediately taken by the officers to the police station along with the evidence," he said.
As for the second case, it took place in Kampung Rawa Banteng, Mekarwangi Village. The police received a report from the locals and directly went to the cellphone counter shop where they found two perpetrators identified as K, 37 years old; and JS, 30 years old. "From this second location, the officers confiscated a total of 1,217 prohibited drugs, two cellphones, the proceeds from the sales, and the shop keys," he said.
Based on the investigation, the suspects admitted to running this business for about a month. They worked for S who is currently a fugitive. Meanwhile, the illicit goods were supplied by H, who is also on the wanted list.
The suspects admitted to selling tramadol drugs for Rp45,000 per tablet, hexymer for Rp10,000 per 6 tablets, and trihexphenidyl for Rp30,000 per tablet.
The suspects are charged under Article 435 paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning health, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
