Based on the information gathered, a ceremony will be held first for Corporal Farizal at the Adisutjipto Airbase.

After that, Farizal's body will be taken to the funeral home, Dukuh Ledok, Sidorejo, Lendah, Kulon Progo.

The TNI soldier, who fell during a peacekeeping mission under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on Sunday, March 29, 2026, is planned to be buried at the Hero Cemetery Giripeni Wates, Kulon Progo on Sunday, April 5.

Farizal, who was killed while carrying out a world peace mission under the auspices of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), received the highest honor from the country.

The soldier from the Yonif 133/JS Brigif 25/Siwah Kodam Iskandar Muda unit was awarded an Extraordinary Promotion to Second Class Corporal (Kopda).

"He was promoted to a Second Class Corporal (Kopda) from the rank of Private (Praka)," said the Commander of Infantry Brigade 25/Siwah-Aceh, Infantry Colonel Dimar Bahtera, on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Dimar added that the late Farizal also had the right to be buried at the Hero Cemetery (TMP) Giripeni, Wates, Kulon Progo.

"We advised the family (Farizal could be buried at the TMP) for the sake of honor and as a national symbol. This also sets an example, education, and motivation for the people, including for the descendants and the family of his children (Farizal) in the future," said Dimar.

Noor Khodik, Farizal's father-in-law, said that the unanimous decision to bury the deceased at the hero cemetery was made after the male and female sides of the family met and deliberated on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the funeral home in Kulon Progo.

"After we deliberated, the male family members (Farizal's parents) agreed to bury him in the hero cemetery, and we as the female party also agreed," said Noor, on Thursday.

Farizal's brother-in-law, Fitra Abdul Aziz, added that the selection of the hero cemetery is expected to be a moral legacy for the deceased's children so that they can understand their father's great service and sacrifice.

"For me, the foremost consideration is for his children (Farizal), so that when they grow up, they can proudly know that their father was one of the national heroes who had contributed to world peace," he said.

Furthermore, according to Fitra, this consideration is also for the better future of the deceased's children, such as receiving recognition and support from the government.

Fitra expressed that the family had high hopes for the Indonesian Government to continue strong diplomatic efforts to expedite the repatriation process, considering that the deceased had been abroad for quite some time.

"We also hope that the government, with its authority, can lobby the UN as the coordinator of the world peacekeeping forces to conduct an open and transparent investigation into the causes of the death of our three TNI members," said Fitra.
