After leaving Liverpool, Klopp took a break from football before being appointed Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer in early 2025. The role marked a shift away from daily coaching responsibilities, as he focused on overseeing football operations within the Red Bull network.

Jurgen Klopp’s Salary Comparison

Klopp’s reported salary with Germany is expected to be around 7 million euros (6 million pounds) per year on a four-year contract that runs until after the 2030 World Cup. The figure places him among the highest-paid international managers in world football.

However, the salary is significantly lower than what Klopp earned at Liverpool. He reportedly received 15 million pounds annually during his final season at Anfield, meaning his salary in Germany is more than 50 percent lower than what he earned at his previous club.

Even Klopp’s role at Red Bull reportedly paid more than his upcoming Germany position. As Head of Global Soccer, he was said to earn between 10 million euros and 12 million euros per year, despite having no direct involvement in matches.
