TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Grammy Award-winning Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey transformed the Singapore Indoor Stadium into what fans described as a giant jazz club during her sold-out “A Matter Of Time” tour concert on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
According to CNA, Laufey delivered a theatrical performance blending jazz, classical, and modern pop music, accompanied by a live string quartet and band across a five-act set and emotional encore.
Opening the concert with “Clockwork” from her latest album A Matter Of Time: The Final Hour, Laufey performed several of her most popular songs, including “Lover Girl,” “Falling Behind,” and “Too Little, Too Late.”
During the performance, Laufey encouraged the audience to imagine themselves inside an arena-sized jazz club, jokingly asking fans to picture holding “a glass of wine” before quickly changing it to a “glass of water” and later a “gummy worm,” drawing laughter from the crowd.
The concert also featured performances of fan-favorite songs such as “Promise,” “Goddess,” “Madwoman,” “Sabotage,” and “From The Start,” one of her earliest and most-streamed tracks.
Laufey showcased her musical versatility throughout the night by playing several instruments, including piano, guitar, and cello. The production included theatrical lighting, dancers, and visual props, including a moving mirror during her song “Snow White,” which explores themes of body image.
CNA revealed that the atmosphere inside the stadium felt unusually intimate for a large-scale arena concert, with fewer audience members holding up phones throughout the performance, allowing stronger interaction between Laufey and fans.
Following her Singapore concert, Laufey is scheduled to continue the “A Matter of Time Tour” in Jakarta on May 23, 2026.
Dapurletter reported that the Jakarta concert will be held at NICE PIK 2 and promoted by Java Festival Production and Northstar Entertainment.
The concert is expected to become one of Indonesia’s biggest international music events of 2026 as Laufey’s popularity continues to grow globally through her distinctive blend of jazz, pop, and modern classical music.
According to the official schedule released by the organizers, gates for the Jakarta concert will open at 4:00 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time), while the main performance is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
