TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Floods have struck Cijayanti Road in Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency. Heavy rain from Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2026, until evening caused the road frequently used by President Prabowo Subianto's VIP convoy to be submerged in water ranging from 60 to 200 centimeters.

The swift currents swept away and wrecked a minibus, while the floods also submerged hundreds of houses across five neighborhoods in the village.

"The flooding was caused by prolonged heavy rain, resulting in water overflowing from the residential river and carrying mud and stones," said Adam Hamdani, Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026.

Adam explained that the overflow from the residential river, which carried debris and mud, also impacted the road, submerging it in a mixture of water, mud, and rocks. The strong flood currents dragged a parked car, causing significant damage.

"However, the floodwaters in the area have gradually receded. A four-wheeled vehicle was swept away by the flood but has since been evacuated," Adam said.

BPBD Bogor Regency reported that the flood submerged Cijayanti Road, particularly in front of the Sanctuary housing complex and the Cijayanti Bridge.

The flood also inundated residential areas in Cicerewed village, specifically spanning RT 1-5 in RW 1; RT 1, 3, and 8 in RW 2; and RT 1 and 3 in RW 6, affecting approximately 144 houses, eight of which sustained moderate to severe damage.

There were no casualties reported in this incident.

Cijayanti resident Dede Raditya noted that their village has been prone to flooding since the end of 2019. According to him, this shift occurred after local paddy fields and plantations were converted into residential areas.
