Indonesian Racer Veda Ega Pratama Starts Fourth in Moto3 Brazil

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian young racer Veda Ega Pratama will start the Moto3 Grand Prix Brazil 2026 race from the fourth position. He recorded the best time of 1 minute 26.506 seconds in the qualifying session at Goiania Circuit, early Sunday, March 22, 2026.

The Honda Team Asia rider was just 0.265 seconds behind the pole position holder, Joel Esteban, who recorded a time of 1 minute 26.241 seconds. The second and third positions were occupied by Valentin Perrone and Hakim Danish, respectively.

Veda demonstrated consistent performance since the free practice session. In FP1, the racer from Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, was in eighth position, with a time difference of 1.673 seconds from the fastest racer, Brian Uriarte. Veda's performance improved in the following practice session, breaking into the top three. He was only 0.050 seconds behind the fastest racer, ensuring his direct qualification to the second qualifying round (Q2).

In the dry track conditions of FP2, Veda was in 12th position with a time of 1 minute 28.030 seconds before sharpening his performance in the qualifying session. The qualifying session took place under partly cloudy weather conditions with a temperature of around 31 degrees Celsius. Previously, the schedule was delayed due to heavy rain.

This result marks an improvement for Veda compared to the previous GP Thailand series, in which he started in fifth place. He was also only a narrow 0.058 seconds behind Hakim Danish in third position. With this result, Veda will start the race from the second row, just ahead of Marco Morelli and Brian Uriarte.
