TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a sting operation at the central office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance today, February 4, 2026.
KPK Deputy Chair Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the information regarding the covert operations, one of which took place at the Jakarta office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. "Yes, that's correct," Fitroh said when contacted by Tempo on Wednesday.
Fitroh did not disclose further details about the case being handled during the sting operation. This includes the identities of the individuals caught in the operation within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in Jakarta.
Furthermore, the KPK is also conducting a sting operation in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, on the same day. The covert operation in South Kalimantan is suspected to have taken place at one of the tax offices in Banjarmasin.
"So today, there are two sting operations; one in Banjarmasin and the other in Customs and Excise Jakarta," Fitroh confirmed.
