TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Robert Pattinson says the fight scenes in “The Batman: Part II” are proving more physically demanding than those in the first film, as he returns to the role of Bruce Wayne.
As reported by Deadline, Pattinson, who first played Batman in Matt Reeves’ 2022 film “The Batman,” said he is “feeling my age” while filming the sequel’s action sequences. The actor, now 40, described the fights as significantly harder this time around.
Despite the physical demands, Pattinson remains enthusiastic about reprising the role. The sequel reunites him with Reeves, who returns as director, as the story continues Batman’s journey in Gotham City.
Several cast members from the first film are also returning, including Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin, according to Variety.
The sequel has faced delays since the release of “The Batman,” with Reeves taking additional time to develop the story and screenplay. Production is now moving forward, with Pattinson back in the iconic Batman suit.
People reported that “The Batman: Part II” is now set to hit theaters on February 18, 2028, after its release was delayed from the previously scheduled October 1, 2027 date. Pattinson’s comments suggest that while the role remains exciting, the physical demands of playing the Dark Knight are becoming an even greater challenge.
